Teacher Spotlight - Allie May, Kindergarten | Enroll Now!

Hello! I am Allie May, and I am thrilled to be a Kindergarten teacher here at Sonoma Ranch Elementary. I have been teaching for four years, and I can truly say that Kindergarten is my absolute favorite grade! There is something so special about getting to be a part of a child's very first year of school.

I believe that Kindergarten sets the tone for a child’s entire relationship with education. My goal is to make sure that first experience is incredibly positive while establishing a deep love for learning right from the start.

We have some amazing traditions here! My favorite moment of the year is Halloween at the Ranch. It is a very special day for our Kindergarteners that includes a costume parade and trick-or-treating around the whole school. We even have a big celebration with our 4th-grade buddy class, which is a wonderful way for our "littles" to connect with the older students.

I know that dropping your child off for the first time can be very emotional! Please rest assured that they are in good hands. We are here to support them (and you!) every step of the way!

When I’m not in the classroom, I love getting outdoors and hiking with my dog, Bear. I enjoy exploring everything Arizona has to offer and love hosting my friends and family when they come to visit from Kansas City.
