GEF’s annual Power of One campaign is LIVE!
Hailey Borden

For those new to Gilbert Public Schools, the Gilbert Education Foundation (GEF) is a nonprofit focused on supporting every student, every educator, and every campus in the Gilbert Public Schools district. Since 2001, GEF has raised over $3 million for:

  • classroom innovation grants for teachers
  • STEAM programs on campuses
  • student and staff scholarships
  • and emergency help for families and GPS staff through the S.H.A.N.E. program.

Last year, the campaign raised $29,721. This year, the goal is to raise $37,000 - A dollar for every student and every member of GPS staff. By reaching $37,000, the campaign aims to positively impact 37,000+ students and employees.

Sun Valley Builders are back for the fourth year as the campaign corporate sponsor, matching up to $2500 in donations.

This year, those who donate $50 or more receive a ‘Real Households of Gilbert support Gilbert Education Foundation’ t-shirt, while supplies last.

Each year, the campaign runs two contests, with special prizes for the school communities that raise the most. Last year, Gilbert Classical Academy came in 1st, closely followed by Canyon Rim Elementary in 2nd, and Gilbert High School in 3rd.

This year, the school that raises the most money will receive $1000, 2nd place will receive $750, and 3rd place will receive $500.

A $100 Amazon gift card will also be given each week to the highest single donation received.
