For over 100 years, Gilbert Public Schools has welcomed students back for the first day of school. While the anticipation and the Arizona heat remain the same, the first day of school has transformed dramatically over the years.

Gilbert Public Schools was awarded the 2025 Best Communities for Music Education in the nation by the NAMM Foundation for the 6th consecutive year, recognizing and celebrating the outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders who have made music education a part of a well-rounded education.
